What's going on now?

In June, our team had the opportunity to present our proposal to the Mayor and six councilors during a city council meeting. Following the presentation, we have been building our campaign and coalition in order to create the moment to make legislative change. Ultimately, the objective is to get an Oregon bill passed that allows cities to set rules (such as the eligible voting age) for their own elections, or to make an amendment to the Oregon constitution that will allow us the capacity to lower the voting age to 16.
